Interview with a business developer
During a meeting with a business developer, we took the opportunity to tell her more about DreamHackathon. The word “hackathon” has a lot of inherent attributes and she went from not interested to very interested about the competition.
Business Developer: Do you mean that this hackathon would allow me to develop my ideas regarding gamification?
Staff: Absolutely! The competition is guided by several categories, and an idea which involve gamification may very much involve an illustration or a sound engineering aspect. Each idea will be judged in the context of the critera and that allow quite some freedom.
Business Developer: Have I gotten this right, the grand prize is 60.000 SEK, with that kind of money could you start a company?
Staff: One of the great things about DreamHackathon is the bridge between a vision and building a business. We want to allow our participants the chance to make their dreams come true by awarding the best idea with the opportunity to network with people from the fantastic start-up scene, get great feedback from inspirational people and also with the economic reward to kick-start a possible new buisness. It is of course up to the winning how to use the prize money. Our goal is to fuse together the creativity of the gaming community with the power of the start-up community.
